Job Description:
- Guy’s Farm and Yard (Morrisville & St. Albans)
- Retail Sales (Pet, Animal, and Lawn and Garden)
- The ideal candidate would have experience/knowledge in retail
- Full-Time/Part-Time
Overview:
If you have a love for pets, animals, farming, and gardening, this may be a great opportunity for you to apply your passion to work every day. This is a family-owned, family-run business. Customer service is vital to our success. Applicants must be willing to learn, and willing to help people. Applicants must be able to work with an established team of employees in a family atmosphere.
Job Overview:
- Facilitating sales transactions
- Helping customers with their needs/solving problems
- Answering telephone
- Ordering, receiving, putting away product
- Stocking, merchandising, cleaning, organizing
Job Requirements:
- Must have some experience with animals (dogs, cats, “farm animals”)
- Must have some basic understanding of animal nutrition/welfare
- Must be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs (at least occasionally)
- Must consistently be on time/reliable
- Must be willing to work weekend hours
Skills Needed:
- Need to be friendly, helpful, and good with people
- Need to be able to complete sales transactions
- Need to work well with other people
