Job Description:

Guy’s Farm and Yard is a third-generation family-owned business catering to farmers, homeowners, and businesses throughout Northern Vermont. Our business is a fast-paced environment dedicated to providing prompt, courteous service to supply our customers with the products they need to nurture their farms, yards, gardens, livestock, and pets.

We are looking for someone to learn the business with the potential to grow into a leadership/management role. There are many intricacies woven into the day-to-day operations of this family business, which require hands-on, engaged, and motivated team members.

This position involves facilitating sales transactions, answering the phone, loading customers’ vehicles, forklift operation, offloading and stocking incoming merchandise, cleaning, sweeping, ordering, and assisting/guiding coworkers.

Job Requirements:

• Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day is a basic requirement for this position.
• Guy’s Farm and Yard is a non-smoking environment, including vape products.
• A friendly, cheerful, cooperative attitude toward customers and coworkers is essential.
• Weekend availability: Saturday and/or Sunday availability may be required.

Job Description:

Guy’s Farm and Yard is a third-generation family-owned business catering to farmers, homeowners, and businesses throughout Northern Vermont.  Our warehouse is a fast-paced environment dedicated to providing prompt, courteous service to supply our customers with the products they need to nurture their farms, yards, gardens, livestock, and pets.

This position involves loading customer vehicles, forklift operation, offloading and stocking incoming merchandise, organizing the warehouse, front loading area, and back yard, cleaning, sweeping, and assisting coworkers as necessary.

If you are a team player who enjoys physical work, this is a great opportunity.  We provide Forklift training and certification to qualified candidates.  As a Warehouse Associate/Driver, you will also deliver goods to locations throughout Northern Vermont.

Job Description:

Our warehouse is a fast-paced environment. The ability to multitask is essential. This job includes but is not limited to serving warehouse customers, loading vehicles, assembling loads for deliveries, and receiving vendor trucks. Storing and organizing warehouse merchandise in overhead racks using a forklift and by hand is a continuous element of this position. Warehouse Associate will occasionally travel in company vehicles to assist driver. Daily duties involve working in all weather conditions, cleaning, sweeping, emptying the trash, cleaning and organizing yard, snow shoveling, etc. The Warehouse Associate will assist showroom employees and be willing to cheerfully help in other capacities as necessary.  Driver training may be available for qualified candidates.

Desired Qualities:

This is a family owned and operated business. Candidate must be comfortable interacting in a positive manner with customers, fellow employees, and the management team. Must have a sense of humor and exhibit patience in daily interactions, which can present unforeseen challenges at times.  Applicants must be willing to learn and be self-motivated. 

Job Requirements:

• Must be reliable and hard-working.
• Must be able to comfortably lift 50lbs.
• Must be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Must complete forklift training and demonstrate the ability to operate power equipment safely and efficiently.
• Must work at least one weekend day per week.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
